Design and Engineering Services
Origin Design Studio provides bespoke architectural and interior design, alongside MEP engineering solutions, through a coordinated and efficient design process. Our aim is to create high-quality, functional environments for residential, office and commercial projects.
Our Principal Designer brings more than 23 years of experience in architectural and interior design practice, planning and project management.
Our studio’s experience includes more than seven years in Singapore’s international interior fit-out and construction management sector. Our Principal Designer is also familiar with architectural design, CAD and construction documentation standards used in the United States and Canada.
Studio Founding Story
Origin Design Studio was established in 2019 by Principal Designer Pramod Kumar Kankipati to deliver considered architecture, interior design and design-and-build services for residential, office and commercial projects, with a focus on quality and craftsmanship.
The practice began in 2003 as Genesis Design Group. As the studio’s design approach and client base evolved, the name was revisited to better express its identity.
“Genesis” means “the beginning,” a meaning closely aligned with “origin.” In 2019, the practice adopted the name Origin Design Studio to reflect this idea and establish a clearer studio identity.

About Founder and Principal Designer
Principal Designer Pramod Kumar Kankipati brings more than 23 years of experience across architecture, interior design and project management. After working with established firms in India, he broadened his experience overseas, focusing on interior fit-outs, project management and construction methods.
His international career includes more than seven years in Singapore, managing interior fit-out projects and developing practical knowledge of materials, finishes and construction management.
He is passionate about taking projects from the drawing board to thoughtfully designed, functional and liveable spaces.
Project Management Team
Our project management team brings more than 30 years of combined expertise in managing interior design-and-build projects, alongside over 20 years of experience in construction projects.
For design-and-build projects, we work with a carefully selected team of skilled tradespeople, including carpenters, false-ceiling specialists, electricians, plumbers, stone masons, and civil masons and flooring installers.
About Structural & MEP Consultants
Our structural consultants bring more than 30 years of experience in civil and structural engineering, including the design of complex building structures.
Our MEP engineering consultants bring more than 20 years of experience across mechanical, electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems.
